Porsche 911 Twin Turbo

The 3.6 liter boxer engine was modified by TechArt in many details. Two bigger turbochargers contribute to the TechArt engine tuning just as the sports air filter and the stainless steel exhaust system with special manifolds and integrated high performance catalysts. All modifications get exactly tuned by the recalibrated ECU.
After the conversion the engine delivers 580 hp / 427 kW at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 700 Nm at 4,850 rpm. Power transmission to all four wheels is made via a modified six-speed manual gearbox with TechArt gearshift travel shortage and additional gearbox-oil cooling. Of course the TechArt engine conversion is also available for cars with Tiptronic transmission.
These performance figures make greatest demands on perfectly balanced aerodynamics. The TechArt designers developed bodywork components in the wind tunnel which don’t only give the 911 Turbo its distinctive look but especially optimal aerodynamic downforce and a drag coefficient reduced by 4 percent.

The TechArt front spoiler reduces aerodynamic lift by 15 percent. They also moulded a new wing profile for the retractable production rear spoiler which produces 20 percent extra downforce in conjunction with the TechArt rear diffuser. The understated TechArt roof spoiler visually stretches the roofline.
The TechArt side sills give the 911 top-of-the-line model a longer, sleeker look. The side mirrors can be attractively upgraded using the TechArt mirror moldings. The look is rounded out with moldings for the headlights.

Especially for the new Porsche 911 Turbo they developed the striking TechArt Formula five-spoke wheels in size 8.5Jx20 in front and in size 12Jx20 on the rear axle. TechArt recommends ContiSportContact 3 tires in sizes 245/30 ZR 20 and 325/25 ZR 20 for mounting on these wheels.

Porsche 911

The Porsche 911 (pronounced as Nine Eleven, German: Neunelfer) is a sports car made by Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany. The famous, distinctive, and durable design is notable for being rear engined like the Porsche-designed Volkswagen Beetle it had been based on. The car was also air-cooled until the introduction of the newly-designed Type 996 in 1998. Since its introduction in autumn 1963, it has undergone continuous development. The basic concept has remained little changed throughout its evolution.
Throughout its lifetime the 911 has been modified both by private teams and by the factory itself for racing, rallying and other forms of automotive competition. It is often cited as the most successful competition car ever, a normally aspirated 911 Carrera RSR in the mid 1970s winning major world championship sports car races such as Targa Florio, Daytona, Sebring or Nürburgring outright even against prototypes. The 911-derived 935 turbo also added the coveted 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1979.
2011 Porsche 911 brings a string of new trims with its release. At least 5 new names get added to the line up namely, GTS, Turbo S, GT2 RS, GT3 RS and limited-edition Speedster.

The 2011 sports model only gets better, and not forget, costlier, with every year passing by. The top end 911 Porsche GT2 RS can cost as much as $245,000. Yes, the model is and has always been for the business class users.

The highly customizable all-wheel drive model offers roomy interiors and effortless acceleration. Surprisingly, the model is fuel efficient too, with a city limit offering of around 18 mpg and highway mileage of 25 mpg.

Porsche is going through a tough time as the automaker has huge debts and it seems like nothing can save it. However, Wolfgang Porsche, the head of the supervisory board of Porsche, says that he will not sold the company after some recent rumors showed that Porsche could be sold to Volkswagen. It is said that Porsche and Piech families (the two controlling families of the automaker) will meet on Wednesday and they will decide if Porsche will be sold to VW.

Wolfgang Porsche denied the rumors and he said that the company is “currently on the right path” and that “Porsche AG will not be sold to Volkswagen.” The problem is with Wolfgang’s cousin, Ferdinand Piech, who thinks that selling Porsche to VW is the best option available right now and it would definitely clear the huge debt of the carmaker.

Piech also said that CEO Wendelin Wiedeking should be replaced with VW’s CEO Martin Winterkorn, while CFO Holger Haerter should be replaced with VW’s CFO Hans Dieter Poetsch.
The Porsche 911 Turbo GT2 RS become a Speedster on the track and coupled with the powerful engine, the Porsche 911 Turbo GT2 RS is bound to hit the final stretch sooner than other competitors. The price of the car would also rise, and it is expected that the Porsche 911 Turbo GT2 RS would be far more expensive than the Porsche 911 Turbo GT2.Many people thought that the difference in prices would not be that much, as the Porsche 911 Turbo GT3 RS cost just $20,000 more than the Porsche 911 Turbo GT3. However, a Porsche 911 Turbo GT2 RS is bound to cost far more and it is rumored that the introductory price of the car would easily be somewhere around $250,000.
The Porsche Tapiro was designed in 1970 by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Ital Design. It was Giugiaro's 4th prototype at Ital and one of his favourite at the time. It was based on the Porsche 914/6 platform and featured a mid mounted 2.4 litre flat 6 cylinder Porsche engine, giving 220 bhp and 7200 rpm. There car had gullwing doors and the profile of the windscreen was almost the same angle as the bonnet. It's dimensions were 4060 mm long, 1760 mm wide and 1110 mm high. This is quite a large amount, but the value is completely justified with the options that the car has to offer. The Porsche 911 Turbo GT2 RS features a beautifully designed interior that combines luxury with a cockpit, making it extremely comfortable for drivers to maintain composure and remain peaceful in their seats while driving the Porsche 911 Turbo GT2 RS. A power steering makes handling the car a very easy job, and the large tires provide great traction on rough roads and surfaces. Overall, the Porsche 911 Turbo GT2 RS is bound to please many Porsche fans and is sure to be a major hit, but it all depends on its release. It is said that the Porsche 911 Turbo GT2 RS would be released somewhere around September, but rumors suggest that Porsche have bought forward the release date of the Porsche 911 Turbo GT2 RS.
Prince Marcus Eberhard Edward of Anhalt, Duke of Saxony and Westphalia, Count of Askania, well known for his jetsetting and international tabledance club chain “Pure Platinum” as well as extensive supercar collection has taken the displeasure of severely cracking his orange Gemballa Porsche Carrera GT at the famous Paul Ricard racing circuit in France.

Gemballa is famous for building highly modified Porsches, many of which are based on the discontinued Carrera GT supercar. The tuner company has even introduced a number of variations on the theme, with prices starting at about €225,000 ($348,000) – on top of the price of your own Carrera GT. That’s what makes the crash of a bright orange example by Germany’s Prince Marcus so remarkable.
It’s clear that Porsche is not going through a favorable period, however, for Wolfgang Porsche this is a family tradition which should go into the hands of the rivals. The issue here is that Porsche has a huge debt, and if VW acquires the carmaker, the deal would bring about 11 billion euros to the company which would mean that it is saved. We should hear something soon until things cool down or heat up.
