Bufori Amazing Pics

Sydney, Australia — After two and half hours at the 2007 Australian International Motor Show, three things are now abundantly clear. The cars on show in Sydney are very shiny; my appetite overshadows the major decision making processes made by my brain; and I can't remember the third thing.

After having witnessed the worldwide debut of the new LandCruiser, along with a number of other world firsts including the Holden Sportwagon and the FPV F6 X, it's time for another world first at the 2007 Australian International Motor show - the Volkswagen Touareg R50:

10:27am: It's Touareg time and the R50 SUV takes pride of place on the stand. It's quite a sight, with a sporty new look and a retuned twin turbo V10 diesel outputting 258kW and 850Nm of torque. The new model could attract Porsche Cayenne buyers, as it sits on huge 21-inch alloy wheel rims and can race from 0-100km/h in 6.8 seconds. It will be priced from$129,990.

My back begins to ache and I realise my posture is hunched. I use three different languages to curse the ever increasing burden of media kits and my uncomfortably pointy Italian shoes.

10:34am: Bentley is next and the smooth Continental GT Speed takes number one slot. I think the organisers know that by now, after dozens of reveals and speeches and no time to put our feet up, many of the media representatives' attention spans are waning, and so we're seeing models with tighter and/or less clothing. It seems to work. The Bentley GT Speed and it's two Amazonian ambassadors steal the limelight for a few moments. I notice one of the camera crews bash another print journalist out of the way to get footage of a GT. My blood boils and I make a vow to take revenge.

10:47am: Skoda is back on the roada (sorry...), and hot off our first drive of the Octavia and Roomster there's still a lot of buzz for the newest car brand in Australia. The Roomster and Octavia are unveiled and I notice the crowd is thinning a bit. This makes getting photos easier, and the Skoda babes are looking and remarkably cheery. And then, thank the heavens, there's a bloke with a tray of sushi! I will eat anything at this point, as my stomach begins to send angry messages to my brain. Which is lucky because it is vegan sushi. Skoda also shows off the Yeti concept, adding more interest to its exhibit. It's a small SUV crossover that provides a glimpse at the marque's design direction.

10:57am: Next on the long line of exhibitors is Italian sports car company Lamborghini, which is showing off the Gallardo Supermall Europeaneggera. Or was it Superleggera? No one really knew, but Lambo proudly announce that it won't be available in red. One person laughs; the Ferrari joke was terrible. There's also the very hot Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Versace, of which only one has been sold in Australia. Always a popular stand, there's also an incredibly tall Lambo girl posing for photos on the Gallardo to add interest. The company hopes to sell 100 Lamborghini cars in 2008, after selling 60 this year.
Malaysia-based (the company moved out of Australia in the mid-90′s) Bufori’s Geneva saloon (named after the Swiss show) is certainly an eye-catcher, but I can’t quite determine if it’s in a good or bad way. First off, the rounded rear, inserted headlights, and slabby sides don’t really mesh in my mind. I guess with a car like this I’d be spending a lot more time inside of it than out, so maybe the looks don’t really matter.

The materials used in the Geneva’s production are pretty snazzy. The chassis is “top grade stainless steel”, and the carbon/kevlar body is “infused with Vinylester resin”, whatever that means. They say its strong, and I’ll take their word for it.

What else has it got? Well, it’s a 30′s-looking party on wheels, apparently. Rear-hinged suicide doors? Check. Rear console-housed tea set (with boiling water and sink)? Check. Cooler and mini-bar? Check. Humidor? Check. It even has a strong box (for the mistress’s earrings, silly).

Cadillac Luxury Car Photos

Cadillac is a luxury car marque that is owned by the General Motors Company. Cadillac automobiles are marketed in more than fifty territories and countries, but chiefly in the North America.

At present, Cadillac is the oldest American vehicle producer and one of the top vehicle brands around the globe. It was founded in the year 1902 as Cadillac Automobile Company and was bought by General Motors in the year 1909. Over the subsequent thirty years, it ascertained itself as the leading luxury automobile in America. Cadillac pioneered a lot of accessories for cars, including the steel roof, the clash-less manual transmission, and full electrical systems. Cadillac created 3 engines. The V8 engine, one of these engines, set the criterion for the American automobile industry.
The brand was created from the remainders of Henry Ford Company at the time that Henry Ford left together with many of his major partners and the corporation was suspended.
Henry Leland founded the company in 1902, a capitalist who knew all about the mechanism of cars. He named the company over his ancestor’s name “Antonie de La Mothe Cadillac”, the founder of Detroit. The first car débuted by Cadillac was Osceola, which can also be called the first ever built concept car for the automobile industry which had a bodied roof and passengers stayed safer by closing the doors and windows. The design of the Osceola was not only admired by the customers, but also became a new trend for other manufacturers of that era.

In 1909, General Motors purchased Cadillac. Cadillac initially began mass production of modern automobiles; they introduced interchangeability, parts accuracy and in the nick of time, became a symbol of the American luxury car. This also includes the popularity of the Model ‘A’ and the ‘30’.

Under General Motors’ innovation and supervision, Cadillac was the first American brand to produce V8 engines installed with a cooling system with thermostat control and the first to present headlights controls in the Dashboard. In the 1930s, Cadillac gained a very strong repute for production power for its V12 and V16 engines having swift performance.

Till the end of World War II, sales of Cadillac boosted and they introduced tailfin models which became the essence of the American automotive way. Upper class customers and movie stars of Hollywood got attracted by Cadillac when models like the Fleetwood El Dorado & the Coupe de Ville launched in the 1960s.

In the 1970s even with smart management, Cadillac’s fate started to undergo hardships due to the huge body types and greater fuel consumption; as the fuel crisis was the major issue. In 1980, it got more inferior as Cadillac introduced a series of low power V8 engines within the next 5 years which were unreliable. It damaged the Cadillac reputation severely as customers stayed dissatisfied

Ongoing in the ‘90s, Cadillac took a main spin and introduced new models with style and immensely enhanced engines. As the new millennium arrived, Cadillac production went more towards styling, including piled headlamps and prominent lines. Its model Evoq, the concept roadster of 1999, was very appreciated with the combination of technology with art. Around the mid 2000s, Cadillac got re-energized with high profits and the Escalade SUV and the CTS sport sedan were launched. Both of these vehicles took the production further ahead, a renowned achievement for Cadillac.

In current times, Cadillac still offers product quality, styling, powerful engines and above all, luxury and smart features in combination.

Noble M400 Images

Owning a 911 or 360 shows means and desire, but no imagination and most of us car nuts like to think that we could have found a much better place to spend that money, or even a little less. That place is Barwell in Leicestershire, where the almighty Noble M400 calls home.

It costs from £56,000 and nothing this side of a £300,000 carbon-bodied hypercar can compete in terms of outright pace, driving thrills and refinement. It’s mid-engined, it’s lightweight and oozes fighter-jet style cool.

The M400 hits 60mph in 3.5s, 100mph in eight seconds and tops out at 185mph. The power comes from a Roush Technologies-prepped Ford three-litre twin-turbo that delivers 425bhp and 390lb ft of torque at 5000rpm, with the name referring to the power-to-weight ratio of 400bhp/tonne.

It’s a development of the firm’s GTO-3R, that was a flawed diamond, but the M400 is the absolute finished article.

It will edge out a Murcielago and stick with an Enzo in a straight line. On the test track we managed to touch 170mph down the straight, after a crescendo of gut-wrenching surges of torque-driven acceleration launched with each flick of the wrist as the deceptively light and easy lever found the next gate in the Getrag six speed.

The violent shove in the back just doesn’t let up until you get the wrong side of 150mph, and there’s an added punch at the 5000rpm mark, with peak horsepower coming at 6500rpm and the redline set at 7300rpm. The last 2000 revs can be used to stroke the tail out of line at the apex of slower bends and hold the mid-engined sportscar in a graceful slide, tyres smoking under a steady right foot. A long throttle travel helps here, allowing sensitive inputs at the limit and on the exit of wet hairpins round town.
There is no traction control on this creation, but practice makes perfect and it didn’t take too much wheel time to realise this car has the natural poise and balance of a Bolshoi dancer. It will flatter all but the least talented of drivers and won’t punish a playful approach.

But it’s at high speeds, with the V6 growling, the twin turbochargers whistling hard and the car flying into a braking zone that grew shorter with each lap and with further confidence in this 2330lb missile, that its true skills shone through and the Noble M400 carved itself into the ranks of superstars.

The beefy rear wing, sculpted bodywork, cooling ducts in the side and venturi all combine to create genuine downforce and beyond 120mph it feels planted to the tarmac in a way Prancing Horse drivers only dream about. While other cars float, the Noble cuts into fast, sweeping bends and there are few road-legal cars that work so effectively.
It will take massive speed into the apex, scrubbing off an over exhuberant entry with minor understeer that is part dialled in and part down to the downforce oriented design. It is always ready to slingshot out of the bend and the knowledge that the nose will slip wide first means the M400 is a truly accessible supercar that won’t bite too hard if the mistake’s a small one. It only oversteers if you really ask for it.

Lee Noble’s 20 years of experience in building supercars including the Ultima GTR and Ascari Ecosse have produced a light yet stiff steel spaceframe chassis reinforced with alloy panels, a full roll-cage and beams that make their presence known under the carpet of the sparse cockpit. It’s not all about safety, it’s about removing even a whiff of bodyroll, so the Noble can jink left and right like a skier at speed and avoid pitching in bends.

Anti rollbars and a rather serious suspension set-up from Dynamics Suspension all help with the cornering capabilities, as do the Pirelli P-Zero Corsas that resemble cut slick racing tyres. The mechanical grip is huge and this car will never catch out its owner with an inexplicable slide at low speed.

A new super responsive steering rack now means that this beast is easily caught when the tail starts to wag on the exit of bends. It is also easily thrown round town, despite the visibility problems through the rear, and it’s no harder to pilot at slow speeds than any shopping-bound hatchback.

The black Alcantara interior and embossed Sparco bucket-seats, together with both a standard seatbelt and a four-point race harness for track use, is now a fine working environment that can handle long distance driving as Noble has taken the opportunity to relocate the seat and reduce the pedal offset. It’s no longer a case of sliding into a chiropractor’s nightmare, as was the case with the 3R, it now works smoothly and sympathetically.

Bentley Sports Wallpaers

Bentley owners usually sit on two very opposite sides of the rich people spectrum. They are conservative people who want to keep a low profile but still ride in luxury, or recording artists (or wannabes) who are out to show the whole world how wealthy they can appear. This kit is for the latter.

The Black Bisson Edition of the Continental GT by Wald takes the graceful lines of the Bentley and bolts on some attention. The edges of the body kit are rounded off with louvered styling elements. There is also a front bumper spoiler, side skirts, rear bumper spoiler, trunk spoiler and roof spoiler. Other parts offered are a suspension height reduction kit and D.T.M sports muffler exhaust system. Price tag for the body kit alone is 1,522,500 Yen (about $16,000).

While Bentley was Brit-owned, it made nicely appointed but increasingly knackered luxury saloons. Then VW bought it and within a year wheeled this monster out: 16-cylinder, 8.0-litre engine and all. It is a concept car built for the 1999 Salon Internationa de l’Auto. The Hunaudières’ name pays homage to the famous straight of Circuit de la Sarthe where Sir Tim Birkin in a “Blower Bentley” overtook Rudolf Carraciola in a Mercedes-Benz SSK at 125 miles per hour (201 km/h) with one wheel on the grass down the Hunaudières straight. Not cricket, old boy. Much better.

In 2003, Bentley's 2-door convertible, the Bentley Azure, ceased production, and the company introduced a second line, Bentley Continental GT, a large luxury coupé powered by a W12 engine built in Crewe. Bentley Continental was introduced at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show: The Continental Supersports. This new Bentley is a supercar combining extreme power with environmentally friendly FlexFuel technology. A muscular two-seater with distinctive exterior and interior styling, the Supersports is unmistakably Bentley in design, craftsmanship and performance.
